I had my consult with the radiation oncologist today. They will call in a few days to schedule the scan for the mapping to do the radiation on the primary tumor in my upper right lobe. 90% of the time the radiation eliminates the tumor completely and leaves just a little bit of scar tissue. This is awesome. But it also doesn’t mean that the cancer is gone. I will take the elimination of the tumor though because if it’s not there it can’t be throwing things up at my brain. I’ll keep you all posted as we go along.
I’ll still be getting the Ramicirumab every 2 weeks. And we’ll watch the 2 small nodules that are possibly cancer. They’ve been there since the first scan, but too small to fuss with unless there’s been rapid change since we stopped the Abraxane end of April. (I was supposed to have had the consult already, but the lung infection + family vacation delayed things.)
