My five radiation sessions are done. The fatigue is a little numbing in its extreme, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to improve much more quickly than last summer when so many other things were going on at the same time. Monday when we were getting ready to go for that session I looked out the window and saw two wee spotted fawns having lunch in the yard. One was eating from the wild raspberry bushes that grow in the wild spot in our backyard and the other was probably eating the mallow that has returned amongst the grass blades. It was such a lovely sight and I stood there and watched them for a while remembering why this is such a great yard for all the wildlife.

Sunday morning we had one youngish deer just sprawled out in the yard so relaxed that for a little bit I was worried she was dead. But then it wiggled its ears and move just a tiny bit. I was very happy when I returned home later that day and saw she had gotten up and left. When I saw the fawns in the yard next day I thought, “oh geez that was just mom being exhausted with two little ones!” LOL.

I’d toss a photo here, but I’ve been growing my habit of making memories with my eyes over always taking photos as I’ve posted plenty of deer and fawn photos over the years. 🙂
