How it’s going at almost 1 year since diagnosis

Welp, I’m not dead yet. My lung/thoracic/pelvic CT results came in quickly and basically no changes since the one in January/February. Recent MRI of my brain shows no new lesions, post radiation changes only, any new symptoms call them right away. My radiation oncology doc retired so I have a new one. She wants the next MRI in July. All great news because no progression that fits in with my doctor’s goal of life extension.

My next appointment at Hillman is the 21st exactly 1 year since diagnosis. This was my extra week off from chemo and seeing as hell my CT showed no progression my doctor had said we would stop the chemo and do consolidative radiation on the primary tumor. We will continue with the other medicine that is designed to slow or prevent the tumor from producing capillaries that allow the tumor to steal my nutrients and grow. That will be an every two week infusion. I do not know if there are weeks off in between.

Radiation did great on my brain mets so I’m hopeful it will do the same on the tumor in my lung. Thanks for following along my journey with me. 💕🎉💕
