As I finally learned to not take Zofran on chemo day and for 2 days after I’ve been dealing with nausea. Ugh. I broke down and asked for a script for Compazine this time. I took some about 20 to 30 minutes ago and we’ll see if it works. The two side effects I’m concerned about are dizziness and blurred vision. Maybe they will not happen to me.
I asked if it is ill advised to skip a treatment and go 6 weeks between infusions so the hubster and I could have 5 solid weeks in a row at the beach house later in the Spring. As long as my mid-January scans are still good it should be no problem. That was happy news!
My shooting pains in the small joints of my hands are from the early, long ago ended immunotherapy. They are permanent, but “they shouldn’t get any worse.”(Not counting weather and air pressure changes)
I’ve started using my recumbent stationary bike regularly. She looked surprised, lol, and pleased. Patients who move throughout treatment do far better, she said. 🎉🎉
Blood work was decent, better than 3 weeks ago I believe. Pulmonologist appointment is next week. Crossing fingers for better breathing in my future because the treatment has moved my decade and a half mild emphysema to moderate. There have been some really interesting trade-offs on this journey.
